PDU Training Days
Three different types of training days are held at ITU every semester. The first one is informative meetings where new developments regarding the School of Foreign Languages curriculum or testing system are introduced to the staff by the PDU. These meetings take place when there is a school-wide innovation planned and are carried out in coordination with the Curriculum Development Office and Test Office.
Additionally, every semester the Professional Development Unit holds a series of workshops on the topics selected by instructors at İTÜ School of Foreign Languages. The list of topics is composed of academically related issues that also propose practical classroom implications for the instructors. These workshops are spread over the semester and usually held twice or three times in a semester.
Finally, semester-end workshops are organized with speakers from a variety of professional backgrounds. The sessions where the latest developments in the field of education are discussed are typically stretched over one or two days.
