Reflective Practice and Other New Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Reflective practice is a process which includes active engagement of the teachers to think about their perception towards teaching and learning as well as about their behaviors in the classroom. The purpose is to look into the process deeply and make necessary changes or adaptations when required in order to smooth the teaching and learning process. This will also enhance professionalism and encourage autonomous learning. Continuing professional development is an important part of reflective teaching. Educators that are willing to improve, maintain and broaden their skills are highly encouraged to do reflective practice which will ensure their professional competence continually. Some ways to do so can be taking lectures, seminars, and taking courses as well as reading current articles. Below you may find a number of up-to-date and open-access articles and videos about reflective practice and CPD.
